Around 880 students of Karnataka may not be able to appear for their Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examination, SSLC this year. Details inside.

Around 880 students of Karnataka may not be able to appear for their Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examination, SSLC this year. The respective schools of these students have not got their annual renewal of recognition, RR done for the year. As for now, the Karnataka Board has still not released the admission ticket to these schools for SSLC exam.
The board has released the official notice to renew the recognition way back in September 2018. As per report, the state department of public instructions have warned 30 private and aided schools in 10 districts of the state to renew the recognition to avoid such circumstances.
According to New Indian Express, KSEEB Director, V Sumangala said, ‘We have not released the admission tickets for the schools which have not got renewal done. We will release the admission tickets if we get the report from concerned Deputy Director of Public Instructions (DDPI) about the same.’
The Karnataka Education Act and Karnataka Recognition of Education Institutions Act 1999 (Section 3) has already made it clear that unless the schools get their RR, the students of those schools will not be eligible to appear for the SSLC exams. The Karnataka SSLC exams commence from March 21, 2019.
